The matter was confirmed around 2:45am on Tuesday (September 2) by Tejgaon Division’s Mohammadpur Zone Assistant Commissioner of Police (AC) AKM Mehedi Hasan.

Earlier, on Monday night, members of a local teenage gang armed with sharp weapons attacked police in Adabor. Constable Al-Amin was critically injured in the incident and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital.

According to locals, around 11pm, police raided a garage in Sunibir Housing. At that time, members of the gang, led by ringleaders Jony and Rony, launched a violent attack. Constable Al-Amin was brutally stabbed during the assault.

Residents of Adabor-10 said the notorious teen gang “Kobji Kata Group,” led by Jony and Rony, has long been spreading terror in Mohammadpur-Adabor area. They are running the gang on behalf of Kobji Kata Anwar, who is currently in jail.

Although Jony and Rony have faced multiple charges, including murder, they have repeatedly returned to criminal activities after securing bail shortly following their arrests.
