15 killed in road crash in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula
At least 15 people were killed Sunday (September 14) in a road accident on the Merida-Campeche highway in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, according to local authorities.
The crash involved a trailer, a private car and a taxi between the cities of Merida and Campeche, Anadolu learned from local media reports.
Yucatan Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena offered condolences to the victims’ families in a statement on X, noting that emergency, security and health personnel rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
