An Air India plane carrying 242 passengers and crew crashed in Ahmedabad of India's Gujarat. Authorities confirmed that the passengers included 169 Indians, 53 British, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian citizen. The incident occurred around noon on Thursday (June 12). According to The Hindu, the Air India flight from Ahmedabad to London crashed shortly after takeoff. In a statement, Air India confirmed that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner went down soon after departing Ahmedabad at 1:38pm.
