16-hour gas outage to hit parts of Dhaka-Ashulia today

Gas supply will be suspended for 16 hours today (Friday) in several areas along the Dhaka-Ashulia route due to pipeline relocation work under the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway project, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd announced.

According to a notice issued on Thursday (August , gas supply will be unavailable from 8:00am to 12:00 midnight in all types of consumer lines connected to the 12-inch diameter × 140 PSIG pipeline between Ashulia TBS and Bypile.

In addition to this stretch, gas supply will also be suspended in the following areas: Dhaka EPZ, Kashimpur, Sardaganj, Haji Market, Sreepur, Kathgarh, Jirabo, Gazirchat, Nayapara, Dewan Idris Road.

Titas also cautioned that low gas pressure may be experienced in surrounding localities during the relocation work.

Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to take necessary precautions.
