3 goals but no hat-trick for Vinicius as Brazil star continues to perform
Vinicius Junior has been the standout performer for Brazil at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring four goals and providing one assist in three group stage matches to cement his status as one of the tournament's leading goalscorers.
The Real Madrid forward netted a brace in Brazil's dominant 3-0 victory over Scotland in Miami, taking his tournament tally to four goals. He had previously scored against Haiti and opened his account against Morocco earlier in the group stage.
Despite his prolific form, the 25-year-old has yet to score a hat-trick, though he came close with two goals against Scotland and a goal and an assist against Haiti.
Vinicius has registered nine shots on target so far, with a passing accuracy of approximately 80 per cent, underlining his efficiency and influence in Brazil's attack.
With Brazil advancing to the knockout stages as Group C winners, Vinicius will look to continue his red-hot form as the tournament progresses.
