3 killed in road crash in Faridpur

Three young men were killed when an unidentified speeding vehicle rammed their motorcycle on the Faridpur–Bhanga–Barishal Highway early Sunday (December 7).

The accident took place around 1:00am near Madhabpur Cemetery in Bhanga’s Hamirdi Union.

The victims—Suman, 25, Imon, 22, and Ashik Molla, 22—were residents of Kumarkhali in Kushtia district.

According to police, the motorcycle, traveling toward Faridpur, was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle that fled the scene. Two riders died on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries after being taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex.

Confirming the matter, Bhanga Highway Police Station OC Helal Uddin said, "The bodies have been handed over to the families. An investigation into this matter is underway to identify the vehicle involved."
