Thirty-one officers holding the rank of senior assistant secretary have been appointed as additional deputy commissioners (ADC) by the Ministry of Public Administration.
A circular was issued from the ministry on Monday night, December 8. According to the circular, the transferred officials have been granted the powers of additional district magistrates under section 10(2) of ‘The Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898’ in order to perform executive magistracy duties at their new workplaces.
The appointed officials must join their new workplaces by 11 December. Otherwise, they will be considered released (stand-released) from their current postings.
The circular stated that if a transferred officer’s workplace has already been changed, he must submit his joining letter mentioning the name and address of the new office.
