4 vehicles set on fire in Gazipur

Miscreants set fire to a bus and two covered vans during dawn to dusk hartal called by BNP. The arson incident took place in Gazipur on Thursday (November 30).

In this regard, Kashimpur Fire Service Duty Officer told media that on Thursday 30, at 9:50 am miscreants set fire to a bus in Jirani Bazar of Kashimpur.

On the other hand, fire service and locals said that miscreants set fire to two covered vans on the Dhaka Bypass Highway in Jhajar area of Gazipur City Corporation around 6:30 am.

They also said that around 6:30 am in Jhajar area, 14-15 miscreants stopped two covered vans used by Labib group and DBL garment factories. At one point, they threw petrol and set fire to two vans and fled after throwing cocktails. Later, people in the vicinity rushed and informed the fire service. Later, two units of Joydevpur fire service went to the spot and brought the fire under control after trying for half an hour.

Besides miscreants set fire to a passenger bus on Nabinagar-Chandra highway in Jirani area of Gazipur metropolis at around 10 am

Citing eyewitnesses, Sub-Inspector of Kashimpur Police Station said, the bus was going from Kabirpur to Mirpur with passengers in the morning. On the way, miscreants set fire to the rear of the bus. At that time, some passengers on the bus got off quickly, so there was no casualty. However, preparations are underway to take legal action in this incident.
