4.3‑magnitude earthquake strikes in Iran
A moderate magnitude-4.3 earthquake struck the area around Gerash in southern Iran, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) confirmed.
The quake occurred at a shallow depth of about 10 km, meaning people in the region likely felt the shaking, but such a magnitude is considered relatively minor and typically doesn’t cause serious damage, reports The Economic Times.
Authorities have not reported any major injuries or significant destruction so far.
