A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Myanmar today (November 23).

The tremor, which began at 10:39am, affected neighbouring Thailand as well.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported the epicenter was 267 km west-southwest in Dawei of Myanmar, at a depth of 10 km.

However, no damage or casualties have been reported so far.

Experts noted that the tremors felt across Bangladesh following Friday’s 5.7 magnitude quake were aftershocks of the previous event.
