548 arrested in DMP operations

A total of 548 people have been arrested in Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) operations in the capital in the last 24 hours. During this time, 51 cases were filed.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Aktar Hossain of the DMP's Media and Public Relations Division confirmed the information on Friday, September 25.

He said that among the arrested, 31 were arrested by Ramna division, 44 by Lalbagh division, 54 by Wari division, 75 by Motijheel division, 96 by Tejgaon division, 92 by Mirpur division, 46 by Gulshan division, 93 by Uttara division, 16 by the Detective division and one by the CTTC division.

During the operations, 36 kg 100 grams of cannabis, 17,345 Yaba tablets, 50 pieces of Tapentadol tablets, one motorcycle, 10 mobile phones and one victim were recovered.

They were arrested along with the recovery of various evidence and drugs during operations in various police station areas of the capital.

The police official also said the process of taking further legal action against the arrested is underway.
