62 more Palestinians killed in Israeli attacks on Gaza

At least 62 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reports. Many of the victims were reportedly targeted while trying to collect humanitarian aid.
The attacks began early Saturday (August 2), with the death toll confirmed by local hospital sources.
Most of the casualties occurred near aid distribution points operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), where people had gathered for assistance. The foundation reportedly operates with direct support from the United States and Israel.
According to the United Nations, since the war began in October 2023, at least 1,373 Palestinians have been killed while trying to receive aid. Gaza’s health ministry also reports that another 169 people — including 93 children — have died due to malnutrition and starvation in the same period.
Gaza residents allege that many people have been shot and killed by Israeli forces and U.S. contractors working under a security agreement while attempting to collect aid.
