9 injured in shooting near Argentina-England training camp

Argentina has a training camp in Kansas City, USA, on a mission to hold the World Cup. England is also camping in the same city. A shooting occurred in Kansas City early Saturday morning. 9 people were injured in the unexpected incident.

According to reports by the media The Athletic and The Independent, police received a report of the attack around 4am (local time). The injured in the attack on Truist Avenue in Kansas City received treatment at a local hospital. However, none were seriously injured.

Police have increased security across the city in the wake of the shooting just before the World Cup. However, Kansas police authorities said that no suspects have been arrested in the incident so far.

England has a training camp just seven kilometers away from where the attack occurred. Argentina is also based in the same city. In addition, Algeria and the Netherlands are scheduled to camp in Kansas. Naturally, concerns have spread about the safety of the players.
