‘A Christmas Story’ actress Tedde Moore passes away

Tedde Moore, the actress renowned for her role as Miss Shields in the popular Christmas comedy film 'A Christmas Story', has passed away. She breathed her last in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 79 on August 5. Although a week has passed since her death, her cause of death has not yet been disclosed.

Alongside acting, Tedde Moore also worked in script editing and acting coaching. Early in her acting career, she performed alongside Christopher Walken in the play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

However, one of her most memorable works on the big screen was the 1983 film 'A Christmas Story'. In the movie, Tedde Moore played the role of a strict teacher named Miss Shields. Her performance as the teacher of nine-year-old Ralphie Parker, played by Peter Billingsley, earned her distinct recognition among audiences.

Throughout her long acting career, Tedde Moore worked in various film and television productions. Her film credits include 'Second Wind', 'Murder by Decree', 'Overnight', and 'Down the Road Again'.

She was also featured in several notable television roles. In addition to 'Mistletoe Over Manhattan', she appeared in the mini-series 'The Kennedys'.
