Aamir Khan to tie the knot for the third time
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has announced a new chapter in his life. The actor will marry his long-time friend and partner Gauri Spratt on July 5 in a private ceremony at his residence in Mumbai, attended by family members.
The 61-year-old actor shared the news during an interaction with journalists at a special screening of the film 'Pritam and Pedro' in Mumbai on Thursday, July 3.
"Yes, we are getting married on July 5. It will be a very small, family-only ceremony at home," Aamir said, according to news agency ANI.
The 'Mr Perfectionist' expressed his excitement about the new chapter. "The day is very special for us. We seek everyone's love and blessings. Please pray for our new journey," he said.
Aamir's eldest son, Junaid Khan, was present beside him as he shared the news, smiling throughout the announcement.
Aamir first publicly spoke about his relationship with Gauri last year on his 60th birthday, when he introduced her to the media. He revealed that their friendship of nearly 25 years had gradually blossomed into love.
This will be Aamir's third marriage. He married Reena Dutta in 1986, with whom he has two children — Junaid and Ira. The couple divorced in 2002. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005, with whom he has a son, Azad Rao Khan. They announced their separation in 2021.
