Aamir Khan weds Gauri Spratt in intimate ceremony

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has exchanged vows with his long-time partner Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony held at his residence in Mumbai. This development marks a significant new phase in the couple’s relationship after two years of dating.

The wedding ceremony, which took place on Sunday at the actor’s Bandra house, was attended by an intimate gathering of family members and friends. Despite incessant rain in Mumbai, wedding preparations went as planned, with guests arriving for the secluded celebration.


Among those present were Aamir’s children – Junaid Khan, Ira Khan, and Azad Rao Khan – as well as Gauri’s son. Reports suggest that approximately 150 guests were in attendance, comprising both family and close friends, some of whom had travelled internationally for the event.


In the days leading up to the ceremony, lights and floral decor adorned Aamir’s Pali Hill residence, while event management teams worked diligently in the downpour to finalize preparations. The actor had previously confirmed that the ceremony would be an intimate family affair rather than a grand event.
Aamir had previously stated that July 5 holds particular significance for them as a couple and that they wished to hold a private wedding with their respective families and only a few closest friends. He also mentioned their desire for everyone’s blessings as they embark on this new chapter together.

Aamir and Gauri’s acquaintance spans nearly 25 years, with their friendship blossoming into a romantic relationship. Aamir had publicly revealed Gauri as his girlfriend at his 60th birthday celebration in March 2025, having largely kept their romance out of the public eye until then.

This union is Aamir Khan’s third marriage. His first marriage was to Reena Dutta in 1986; they have two children, Junaid and Ira, and separated in 2002. In 2005, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao, with whom he has a son, Azad, born through surrogacy; they announced their separation in 2021.


The actor’s marriage to Gauri, by all accounts, was a private affair, consistent with the couple’s wish to celebrate this milestone surrounded by only their most cherished loved ones and away from public scrutiny.
