Actor Bappy narrowly escapes road accident

Popular Bangladeshi film actor Bappy Chowdhury narrowly avoided serious injury in a road accident late Sunday night. The incident occurred while he was returning to Dhaka from Narayanganj. Bappy confirmed the news himself to the media.

According to the actor, the accident took place around midnight on the Jatrabari flyover. A speeding truck suddenly rammed into his car. While Bappy escaped unharmed, the vehicle sustained significant damage.

“I survived by sheer luck,” Bappy told reporters. “It was around 12 AM when we were driving back from Narayanganj. Everything was normal until a truck suddenly crashed into us. The car nearly flipped. We were lucky to survive. I’m still shaken by the incident.”

He added that police arrived at the scene shortly after the crash and detained the truck. A case has been filed in connection with the incident.

On the professional front, Bappy’s upcoming film Kustigir (The Wrestler) is set to premiere during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays. Rather than releasing in theaters, the film will be broadcast on television. It will air on Channel i on the second day of Eid.
