Actor Farhan Ahmed Jovan apologises in Facebook video over wrong remarks

Actor Farhan Ahmed Jovan has issued a public apology through a Facebook video message, writing “I am sorry” in the caption.
In the video, he said he had recently given incorrect and misleading information about some personal matters while appearing on a programme, adding that the comments did not come from his heart.
Jovan said the remarks he made in a recent interview were wrong and scripted, and that he had been instructed beforehand on what to say. He apologised sincerely to everyone. Although he did not specify the issue, his comments on love and personal life in a podcast a few days earlier had sparked widespread discussion.
In the video, Jovan is seen sitting beside his wife, though he did not explain why she was present. At one point, he reads from a letter and says he spoke more than necessary at the programme, which he should not have done.
He then looks at his wife for approval, and both of them smile. Apologising again, Jovan said he felt ashamed before society and his wife and hoped she would forgive him. Towards the end, he joked, saying, “There is nothing more to say, I have said everything,” prompting his wife to laugh.
Recently, Jovan shared his experiences of love and separation for the first time on a podcast titled Behind the Fame with RRK. He said he had been in a one-month relationship a few years into his acting career and fell into severe mental distress after it ended, even breaking down and crying like a child on the street. The remarks went viral on social media and drew widespread reactions.
