Actor Michael Madsen dies at 67
Hollywood actor Michael Madsen, known for his roles in iconic films such as Reservoir Dogs and Thelma & Louise, has died at the age of 67, his representatives announced on Thursday.
Madsen passed away from cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu, California, according to his manager, Ron Smith.
Born in Chicago, Madsen began his acting career in the early 1980s, appearing in TV shows like St. Elsewhere and films including The Natural. Over the years, he amassed more than 300 on-screen credits.
He is perhaps best remembered for his role as Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s 1992 film Reservoir Dogs. He also appeared in several other Tarantino projects, including Kill Bill, The Hateful Eight, and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
“In the last two years, Michael Madsen has been doing some incredible work with independent film,” said a joint statement from Smith, fellow manager Susan Ferris, and publicist Liz Rodriguez.
Madsen was also preparing to release a book titled Tears For My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems, which is currently being edited, they added.
