Actor Zaher Alvi's wife found hanging in Dhaka residence

Police have recovered the body of Ikra, wife of actor Zaher Alvi. The matter has been confirmed to the media by the actor's in-laws' family.

A close relative of Ikra, wishing to remain unnamed, said the incident occurred around 1:30 pm on Friday, February 28, at a residence in Mirpur DOHS area of the capital. Grief has descended on the family following the incident.

Actor Zaher Alvi was not in the country at the time of the incident. He is currently in Nepal.

Police at the concerned station are investigating the matter. According to family sources, necessary steps will be taken after the body is recovered and legal procedures are completed.
