Actress Daisy Shah, known for her role in Salman Khan's film 'Jai Ho', has faced criticism for participating in Iftar cooking by the roadside. The backlash stems from her earlier stance opposing firecrackers on roads during election campaigns.

Recently, Daisy was seen assisting in food preparation at an Iftar event on a roadside. The video went viral, prompting some netizens to question how someone who objected to firecrackers on roads could now participate in an Iftar arrangement on the street.

The actress expressed anger in response to the criticism. She said, "You are spreading hatred in the name of religion, very good. Keep going. I hope you recover soon."

Last year, Daisy had spoken out against firecrackers during a political party's election campaign. She claimed firecrackers were being burst on the road near her house, posing a risk to pedestrian safety. That post had sparked widespread discussion on social media.

Before entering acting, Daisy Shah worked as an assistant choreographer with Ganesh Acharya. She made her acting debut in 2011 with the Kannada film 'Bhadra'. She later gained attention in Bollywood with Salman Khan's 2014 film 'Jai Ho'. However, she could not firmly establish her position in Bollywood afterwards. She was last seen in the 2024 web series 'Red Room'.
