The Enforcement Directorate (ED), India's central investigation agency, has summoned actress and former Member of Parliament Nusrat Jahan in connection with allegations of smuggling ration wheat and rice. She has been directed to appear at the CGO Complex in Kolkata on the specified date for questioning.

According to Indian media reports, the summons relates to a case involving ration corruption and the smuggling of food grains across the border. During the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple trucks were seized from border areas, with allegations that they were smuggling government ration wheat and rice into Bangladesh. At that time, Nusrat Jahan was the Member of Parliament for the Basirhat constituency.

Sources close to the investigation have stated that this is not an arrest warrant but a directive to appear for questioning in the interest of the investigation. No official statement has yet been issued from Nusrat Jahan's side regarding the matter.
