Actress Sohini Sarkar becomes mother to a son

Tollywood actress Sohini Sarkar has become a mother for the first time. A baby boy was born to her on Sunday morning. Sohini's husband, Shobhon Gangopadhyay, told Indian media that both the newborn and the mother are doing well.

Shobhon and Sohini tied the knot in 2024. Since their marriage, fans have been interested in their personal lives. However, the couple has always remained reserved about their relationship and personal moments.

In July, on their wedding anniversary, Sohini and Shobhon published a set of baby bump photos on social media. There, they formally announced that a new member was soon coming to their family.

Sohini continued working even during her pregnancy. She completed shooting for several series and films. Before the birth of her child, the actress also went on a babymoon with her husband.

Describing the experience of that trip, Sohini had said, "I do not know when or where I will be able to go again. So I went on a short hill trip." She had also shared photos and videos of a home ceremony on social media. Since then, her fans had been waiting for the arrival of the new guest.

Finally, that wait ended on Sunday. Sohini and Shobhon became parents to a son.

However, after the news of her becoming a mother was published, Sohini also came into discussion over an old comment. After the RG Kar incident in 2024, she had said, "I do not want to bring my child into such a country." Later, however, the actress explained her position.

Sohini had said, "I did feel that way, but I have always wanted to be a mother. Accordingly, I planned at the right time. I hope to manage all aspects in the future. I will try to raise whoever comes in such a way that they can face all situations in this world."
