The Interim Government’s Advisory Council held a special session at the office of Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in the capital's Tejgaon on Saturday (November 29) to pray for the speedy recovery of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia.
Religious Adviser A F M Khalid Hossain led the prayers, and the council’s press wing later shared the session’s outcomes.
During the meeting, the draft of the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation, 2025 was approved in principle and finalised, introducing amendments to existing laws. The draft Police Commission Ordinance, 2025 was also presented, but the council directed it to be revised in detail before the next session.
Additionally, Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul informed the council about the planned release of 24 individuals detained in connection with the July uprising in the UAE, stating they would return to Bangladesh within two to three days.
