Agun hosts Eid special honouring five late music legends

Bangladeshi singer Agun hosted a special Eid programme, Smritir Sur, honouring five of the country’s late music icons.

The show featured the lives and musical contributions of band legend Ayub Bachchu, pop pioneer Azam Khan, Miles vocalist Shafin Ahmed, Chime singer Khalid, and folk artist Farida Parveen.

Produced and directed by Nazmul Alam Rana, the programme included appearances by close colleagues and family members of the artists, who shared memories and performed some of their iconic songs.

Agun said the programme offered a unique opportunity for a new generation to learn about the legendary musicians and expressed his happiness at returning to hosting after a long time.

The special will air daily from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Channel 24, as well as on the channel’s Facebook and YouTube platforms, beginning on Eid and continuing for five days.
