Algerian ambassador pays courtesy call on IGP

Algerian Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Abdelouahab Saidani paid a courtesy call on Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir.

The meeting took place at Police Headquarters on Wednesday morning, April 22, in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, according to a press release.

During the meeting, the Algerian ambassador congratulated the newly appointed IGP and exchanged views on irregular migration, human trafficking, and enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police in various security-related fields, along with other matters of mutual interest.

The IGP welcomed Algeria's cooperation in enhancing the capacity of Bangladesh Police and emphasised strengthening mutual collaboration between the police personnel of the two countries.

Senior officers of Bangladesh Police were present on the occasion. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed hope for stronger and more fruitful cooperation in the future.
