Alisson, Casemiro thank Bangladeshi fans after dramatic Japan win

Brazil came from behind to beat Japan 2-1 in their World Cup last-32 match in Houston on Monday, June 29, securing their place in the last 16. After the match, Brazilian players expressed their gratitude to Bangladeshi supporters for their unwavering backing.

Goalkeeper Alisson Becker and midfielder Casemiro both acknowledged the passionate support from Bangladesh, where fans celebrated despite the late hour.

When journalists informed Alisson they were from Bangladesh, the Liverpool star responded with a smile and a thumbs-up. He said, "Yes, I have seen the videos. I want to say thank you to all the people of Bangladesh for supporting us. We Brazilians love you. Thank you. God bless you."

Casemiro, who scored Brazil's equaliser and was named Player of the Match, also expressed his appreciation. "Thank you so much for the support, Bangladesh," he said.

Brazil had fallen behind in the 29th minute to Japan's Kaishu Sano. Casemiro equalised in the 54th minute before Gabriel Martinelli scored a dramatic winner in the sixth minute of stoppage time to send Brazil through.
