US President Donald Trump claimed that all individuals considered potential future leaders of Iran have reportedly died.

He made the remarks at a press briefing after a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel at the White House on Tuesday (March 3),

“Very soon, there may be no one left,” Trump added.

Addressing the recent attacks on Iran, Trump said, “We were in talks with those extremists, but I believed they were planning to strike us, and I didn’t want that to happen.”

He suggested that his actions may have forced Israel to carry out its own strikes, stating, “If anything happened, it was probably because of me.”

Trump further asserted that Iran’s defense capabilities have been “nearly destroyed,” claiming that the country’s naval and air forces, as well as its aerial detection systems, are no longer operational.

He also expressed frustration with the United Kingdom and Spain, noting that the UK initially refused to allow the use of the Diego Garcia military base in the Indian Ocean for US strikes.
