Always used me as a money-making machine: Popy

Sadika Parvin Popy, a popular actress of the nineties, has gone through many ups and downs in her long acting career. Having carved a distinct place in the hearts of audiences with her sweet smile, acting skills and personality, the actress is currently spending busy times with her husband and children. Popy made her big-screen debut in 1996 with the film 'Kuli', directed by Montazur Rahman Akbar. She caught the audience's attention in her very first film. Later, acting in one film after another, she became one of the popular actresses of Dhaka film industry in the nineties.

In the meantime, Popy has revealed that the person who has been introduced as her mother all this time is actually her stepmother. According to Popy, she has long suffered various forms of hurt from her stepmother's household.

Speaking about her pain in a tearful voice, Popy said, "I have suffered for 30 years. They never realised my pain. They always used me as a money-making machine. Their demands had no end. The more they got, the more their demands increased."

Popy further said, "I have not yet been able to overcome the trauma of the hurt I received from my stepmother's household."
