Ankan, Nandita's new song 'Mathura' in Coke Studio Bangla

Ankan Kumar introduced himself to the music scene with the song 'Up' from the Hatirpool session. Although his journey in music began even earlier, Coke Studio Bangla brought Ankan to a wider audience. The song 'Long Distance Love', released last year in the third season of Coke Studio Bangla, brought him widespread recognition. In the meantime, he has sung in web films and cinema. After a year, Ankan has returned to Coke Studio Bangla with a new song.

Alongside lending his voice to the song titled 'Mathura: The Melody of Elusive Love', Ankan has also written its lyrics and composed its tune. Mumtahina Mehjabin Afrin sang with him in 'Long Distance Love'. This time, Sanjida Mahmud Nandita has sung with Ankan in 'Mathura'.

Nandita came into the spotlight in the first season of Coke Studio Bangla with Kazi Nazrul Islam's song 'Bulbuli'. Her song 'Araley Duarey Mor' in the second season also received praise from listeners.

'Mathura' was released yesterday on Coke Studio Bangla's YouTube channel as the fifth song of the ongoing fourth season. Coke Studio Bangla said the semi-classical tune song tells the story of two people whose hearts are one, but whose real lives move on different paths. Like two parallel lines, they move side by side, can see each other, but never get the opportunity to become one.

The feeling of longing that has survived for ages in the incomplete love stories of Radha-Krishna, Romeo-Juliet or Laila-Majnu also comes up in the song 'Mathura'. The song highlights how a relationship that does not find fulfilment in life remains in memory and feeling. Even after the story ends, the resonance of that feeling lingers in 'Mathura'. Even if life's paths never become one, the song is an expression of the feeling that love remains in two hearts.

The music arrangement of 'Mathura' has been done by Shubhendu Das Shuvo. He also did the music arrangement for Ankan's song 'Long Distance Love'. Additionally, the two songs sung by Nandita in Coke Studio Bangla were also created with Shuvo's music arrangement. This time, in the combined presentation of Ankan Kumar, Nandita and Shuvo, 'Mathura' brings out the longing of separation, unspoken words of the heart and a story of love that lives on for a long time.
