Anne Hathaway named world's most beautiful woman by People magazine

Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has been named the cover star of People magazine's 'World's Most Beautiful' issue.

The 43-year-old actress said that at the beginning of her career, she thought being hard on herself would make her a better artist. But after turning 40, she has come to a new realisation: she no longer has any interest in living an uncomfortable life. She now only wants to enjoy the joyful parts of life.

She made her big screen debut in 2001 with 'The Princess Diaries'. Since then, she has gifted audiences with a range of films, from art-house movies like 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'Becoming Jane' to blockbusters such as 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Les Misérables', for which she won an Oscar.

Five films starring Hathaway are set to be released this year. Among them, the most talked-about is 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'. Nearly two decades later, she is returning to her role as Andy Sachs, alongside Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci.

In her personal life, Hathaway has been married to jewellery designer and producer Adam Shulman for 13 years. The couple has two sons.
