Yasir Mohammad Faisal has resigned from his position as a director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), becoming the latest in a series of departures from the board.

He submitted his resignation to the BCB president on Thursday morning (April 2), citing personal reasons for stepping down.

Faisal had served as chairman of the BCB’s Logistics and Protocol Committee and was also a National Sports Council-nominated director.

The board has been facing pressure following multiple resignations and rising player discontent due to delays in the start of the Dhaka Premier League and other tournaments.

BCB officials are set to convene another board meeting on April 4 at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium to address the situation.

Members unable to attend in person are expected to join online.
