Anti-discrimination student movement's concert postponed
The open-air concert scheduled to be held at the old trade fair ground at Agargaon in the capital on Saturday (February 22) has been postponed by the organisers due to security concerns.
The country’s prominent singer James’s band Nagarbaul and other renowned bands and artists were scheduled to perform at the concert, titled 'Rebuilding the Nation', organised by the Anti-discrimination Student Movement.
Salauddin Sourav, the cultural cell secretary of the Anti-discrimination Student Movement, confirmed this information to the media on Friday (February 21).
He said, "This decision has been made considering the situation. Everything was ready, but we don't want to take any risk. Our plan was to defer it to next week. But the holy month of Ramadan is starting, so we have decided to organise it after Eid."
The main attraction of this concert was James’s Nagarbaul. Besides, popular bands Chirkut, Artcell, Sonar Bangla Circus, Bengal Symphony, Bangla Five, Cryptic Fate, Kudeghar, and Kaktal along with singer Farzana Wahid Sayan were scheduled to perform in the concert.
