Anushka Sharma's old comments on receiving gifts spark fresh discussion

Anushka Sharma's old interview comments have resurfaced on social media, sparking fresh discussion. The Bollywood actress, who has largely stayed away from acting after marriage and motherhood, now spends most of her time with her family.

In the interview given during the peak of her career, the actress had made her personal stance clear on receiving gifts. She had said that she does not feel comfortable accepting gifts from male friends and does not personally like the practice.

Anushka recalled an incident where a male friend sent her multiple gifts, which initially annoyed her. According to her, she prefers splitting expenses or taking turns paying when meeting friends. She even mentioned that if she receives a gift, she checks its value and returns a gift of approximately the same or higher value.

However, she noted that the only exception to this rule is her husband, Virat Kohli. She has no objection to accepting gifts from him.

Anushka Sharma is currently spending time in London with Virat Kohli and their two children. Her last film was 'Zero', released in 2018. She has not been seen on the big screen since, and it remains uncertain when she will return to acting.
