Argentina to wear navy blue jersey against England in semi-final
Argentina will wear their navy blue away kit instead of their traditional sky-blue and white home jersey in the World Cup semi-final against England in Atlanta on Thursday, July 15. FIFA's published jersey list confirms that Lionel Messi's side will don the navy blue jersey with black shorts and socks, while England will play in their traditional white home kit.
Argentina have two memorable wins over England in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final and the 1998 World Cup Round of 16 while wearing this away kit. However, they also suffered defeats in the away kit in 1962, and in the home kit in 1966 and 2002.
This will be Argentina's second time wearing the away kit in this tournament, having used it earlier against Jordan in the group stage.
In the first semi-final on Wednesday, France will play in their blue home kit against Spain's off-white away kit.
