Arijit Singh has taken a break from playback. Yet listeners cannot stay away from the magic of his voice. This time the name of this music artist has again come up in discussion after the release of the new song ‘Jai Jai Ram’ of Nitesh Tiwari’s much-discussed film ‘Ramayana’. However, the most discussion is taking place around a surprising piece of information about its recording—Arijit allegedly gave nearly 200 takes of the song to bring out the perfect emotion.

Such information has come up in a report of the Indian media ‘Pinkvilla’. Citing sources the report said that while recording the song Arijit became so immersed in the emotion of devotion that he kept giving one take after another. In every take he tried to express the melody and feeling in a new way.

The source claimed that Arijit sang the song nearly 200 times during the recording of ‘Jai Jai Ram’. Every time he was trying to bring a different dimension of emotion in the voice. At one stage the feeling of the melody became more important to him than the calculation of the technical perfection of the song. As a result a kind of reluctance was even created in him to finish the recording.

Shreya Ghoshal has given voice along with Arijit Singh in the song. Oscar-winning music director AR Rahman has composed the music and Dr Kumar Vishwas has written the song. Inspired by the ambience of the traditional devotional song ‘Jai Siya Ram’, the song has presented devotion and emotion in a new way.

There is also special attraction in the visualisation of ‘Jai Jai Ram’. In it the auspicious marriage scene of Ranbir Kapoor in the character of Shri Ram and Sai Pallavi in the character of Sita has been presented.

Interest of the audience has been at its peak from the beginning about ‘Ramayana’ made with a budget of nearly Rs 4,000 crore. Alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh and Vivek Oberoy are also acting in the film.

The film is scheduled to be released in two parts. The first part will release in theatres on November 6, 2026. The second part is scheduled to release on Diwali of 2027.
