Arrest warrant issued against content creator Hero Alam

Bogura’s Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-2 has issued an arrest warrant against content creator Ashraful Alam, also known as Hero Alam, over allegations of rape under the pretense of marriage, physical abuse, and forcing abortion.

Judge Anwarul Haque passed the order on Tuesday (February 10).

State counsel Ali Asgar confirmed that following a review of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) report, the court found preliminary evidence supporting the allegations, prompting the warrant.

According to the case, Hero Alam allegedly promised to make the victim, Sadia Rahman Mithila, a heroine, then deceptively lured her into marriage, sexually assaulted her, subjected her to physical abuse, and forced an abortion.

The victim filed the case on 21 April 2025 under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act after Alam denied the allegations.

Following the PBI investigation confirming the initial validity of the claims, the tribunal issued the arrest warrant.
