Asha Bhosle's last song to be released on her birth anniversary
Legendary singer Asha Bhosle passed away on April 12 this year at the age of 92. Her first birth anniversary without her will be observed on September 8. On this special day, Indian filmmakers have taken a unique initiative to honour the iconic singer and offer a gift to her fans.
The team behind 'Om Ka Hari' is set to release the last song recorded by the late singer. The farewell message in the comedy-drama film has taken the form of a track titled 'E Meri Zindagi, Tu Chupi Hai Kahan'.
The legendary singer had recorded the song at the age of 90 in late 2023, standing in the studio for the final time. The film, directed by Harish Vyas, stars Anshuman Jha, Raghubir Yadav, Soni Razdan and Ayesha Kapoor.
Speaking emotionally about the release, director Harish Vyas said September 8 was chosen to honour and express love for Asha Bhosle on her first birth anniversary. Actor Anshuman Jha said, "Having the late music legend's final song in our film is a supreme blessing. This work will always remain very close to my heart."
In a career spanning eight decades, Asha Bhosle recorded over 12,000 songs, captivating generations of listeners. The void her passing has created in the world of music will, for at least a moment, be filled by this last song set for release on September 8.
