Popular alternative rock band Ashes has announced a new release strategy, moving away from the traditional full-album drop model to releasing songs every 15 days.

Under the new plan, all tracks from their two upcoming albums — “Bibhrom” and “Danahin Pakhi” — will be released gradually through digital platforms, the band said.

The initiative has already begun with the release of the first track “Feriwala” from the album “Bibhrom” on the band’s official YouTube channel. Written and composed by Junaid Evan, the song quickly gained attention from listeners, sparking anticipation for the remaining tracks.

Band members said the shift reflects changing listening habits in the digital era, where continuous song releases are more relevant than full album launches.

Drummer Taufiq Ahmed Bijoy said the aim is to maintain audience engagement through regular releases. “This approach allows us to stay connected with listeners while completing two albums within a year,” he said.

According to the band, “Bibhrom” and “Danahin Pakhi” are the result of nearly a decade of creative work. Some of the songs have been performed live over the years but were never officially released, while others are newly produced.

Vocalist Junaid Evan said the upcoming songs focus more on emotions than materialism, reflecting themes of existential struggle, mental journeys, and human experience.

“Modern life is becoming increasingly materialistic, but true joy lies in nature, emotion, and small experiences,” he said, adding that these ideas shape the narrative of the albums.

Alongside new releases, Ashes remains active in live performances and is set to embark on a Europe tour in early June, with concerts scheduled in Rome, Venice, and Paris. One show on June 16 has already been confirmed.

After returning from the tour, the band plans to resume concerts in Bangladesh and continue work on new music, including discussions on a future album beyond their current projects.

Ashes currently consists of Junaid Evan (vocals), Sultan Rafsan Khan (lead guitar), Wahid Uz Zaman Turjo (bass), Adnan Bin Zaman (keyboards), and Taufiq Ahmed Bijoy (drums).
