Attempts underway to turn India into Bangladesh-Pakistan in name of protests: BJP leader Dilip Ghosh

BJP leader from West Bengal, Dilip Ghosh, has made strong remarks regarding the ongoing student protests in India. He claimed that efforts are underway to push India into a situation like Bangladesh and Pakistan under the guise of the protests. However, he asserted that this attempt will not succeed this time, just as it has failed in the past.

He made these comments while speaking to journalists at Rajarhat-Newtown in Kolkata on Thursday (July 23) .

Protests have been ongoing at Delhi's Jantar Mantar for several days over allegations of question paper leaks in India's medical entrance exam (NEET) and corruption in the education system. The agitation, under the banner of the 'Cockroach Janata Party', continues to demand education reform and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharamendra Pradhan. In this context, Dilip Ghosh branded the protesters as "professional puppets" of foreign forces and said, "Many attempts have been made to turn India into Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal or Sri Lanka. But none succeeded, and it won't this time either."

He further claimed that the same group is behind the farmer protests, student protests and women's protests. "Those who carry out farmer protests, they are the ones doing student protests, and they are the ones doing women's protests," he said.

Raising allegations of foreign backing, the BJP leader said the protesters are working in the interests of foreign powers and attempting to create instability in the country. However, he added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will take necessary decisions at the appropriate time.

Dilip Ghosh also criticised Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leadership, claiming that some political leaders are making statements in the interests of foreign forces and instigating the protests. He claimed that the general public now understands this and support for the protesters has waned.

Meanwhile, according to the latest information, the Narendra Modi government has offered to hold talks with representatives of the 'Cockroach' movement demanding education reform and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharamendra Pradhan.
