Australia announce full-strength squad for Bangladesh Test series

Australia have announced a 13-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, with captain Pat Cummins, pacer Josh Hazlewood and experienced off-spinner Nathan Lyon returning to the side after recovering from injuries.

Cummins had been sidelined for some time with a back injury, so his return means there will be no change in Australia's Test leadership. The return of Hazlewood and Lyon has also made the hosts' bowling attack more experienced and stronger.

Pacer Michael Neser was not included in the main squad for the Bangladesh series but will remain with the team as a standby player.

The first Test of the two-match series will begin on August 13 in Darwin, as part of the ICC World Test Championship. The second and final Test will be held in Mackay on August 22.

Bangladesh are set to play a Test on Australian soil after 23 years. As a result, both teams will aim to secure crucial points in the World Test Championship. Australia will enter the field with the expectation of winning the series at home, while Bangladesh will look to create new history on foreign soil.
