Autopsy report shows extensive injuries on film director Anik Dutta’s body

The preliminary autopsy report of Kolkata-based film director Anik Dutta has been released. The report has revealed multiple injury marks, including bleeding on his body and brain.

Anik Dutta was seriously injured after falling from the roof of a residence in Kolkata's Hindustan Park area on Wednesday morning. Later, he was taken to a nearby private hospital in a critical condition and declared dead by the doctors. Later, his body was sent to SSKM Hospital for autopsy in the afternoon.

According to the preliminary report, he suffered a fractured bone on the left side of his skull, injuries to his ribs and serious damage to a part of his leg. In addition to injuries to his waist, face and back, abrasion marks were also found. The report also mentioned blood clots in his lungs.

According to police sources, a suicide note was recovered from the scene, which was addressed to his daughter. It has been said that no one was blamed in the note. Investigators claim that some parts of the incident were also captured on CCTV footage.

It is learnt that after entering the residence, Anik Dutta went straight to the roof and that is where the accident occurred. Later, his body was kept for preservation after the autopsy.

In the film industry, Anik Dutta was known for several controversial films including 'Bhooter Bhabhishek'. His death has cast a shadow of grief over the cultural scene of West Bengal.
