Awami League has role behind all accidents and destruction in Bangladesh: Salahuddin Ahmed

Awami League is involved in every accident, destruction of democracy and devastation that has occurred in the country's history, said Salahuddin Ahmed, a member of the Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

He said this at a discussion meeting organized at the China-Friendship Conference Center in the capital on Wednesday (November 12) afternoon on the occasion of the historic 7th November National Revolution and Solidarity Day.

Salahuddin Ahmed said: "Awami League has a role behind all the accidents, destruction of democracy and destruction of the state in Bangladesh. Many say that Awami League and Sheikh Hasina were indirectly involved in the assassination of martyred President Ziaur Rahman."

He also said: "Bangladesh's democratic and constitutional reforms, the country's prosperity and development - all happened through the hands of martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia. They have taken the country to the path of self-reliance."

Salahuddin Ahmed claimed: "In 2024, the country will be free from fascism under the leadership of the united movement of students, the people and democratic forces. Tarique Rahman has given the highest leadership to this movement."

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman was the chief guest at the discussion meeting, and the party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir presided over it.
