Ayub Bachchu's 7th death anniv today

Seven years have passed since Ayub Bachchu, the legendary maestro of Bangladeshi band music, bid farewell to the world on this day (October 18, 2018). Yet, the “magician of the silver guitar” continues to live on through the rhythm of his timeless songs and the hearts of his countless admirers.
Born on August 16, 1962, in Chattogram, Ayub Bachchu was the founder and frontman of the iconic band LRB. A singer, lyricist, composer, and music director, he reshaped the country’s rock and band scene with his distinctive style and soulful guitar riffs.
His musical journey began in 1978 with the band 'Feelings', followed by a decade-long stint as the lead guitarist of 'Souls'. The 1990s saw the birth of 'LRB', marking the start of a new era in Bangladeshi band music.
From 'Cholo Bodle Jai' and 'Ferari Mon' to 'Rupali Guitar' and 'Sei Tumi', Bachchu’s songs transcended generations — resonating from cassette players of the past to streaming apps of today. His music became the voice of love, loss, and rebellion for countless listeners.
Though his life ended at 56, his melodies remain immortal. Fans across Bangladesh are commemorating the day with heartfelt tributes on social media, while his family is observing the day privately.
