Following a long waited win over India in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, Bangladesh’s national football team has climbed three spots in the FIFA rankings. Led by Javier Cabrera, the team’s rating increased by 17 points, reaching a total of 911, moving them from 183rd to 180th—their best position in nine years. India dropped six places to 142nd after losing 18 points. The top four positions remain unchanged: Spain leads, followed by Argentina, France, and England, with Brazil, Portugal, and the Netherlands occupying fifth to seventh spots.
