Bangladesh beat Uzbekistan to reach volleyball final

Bangladesh have secured a spot in the final of the KAVA Men's Volleyball Championship 2026 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Reds and Greens confirmed their place in the title decider with a straight-sets victory over Uzbekistan in the first semi-final on Tuesday.

Bangladesh were in excellent rhythm from the start of the match, winning the first set 25-21, the second 25-20 and the third 25-19 to seal a convincing 3-0 victory.

This was Bangladesh's fifth consecutive win in the tournament, having earlier beaten Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Nepal and Sri Lanka in the league phase to advance to the semi-finals unbeaten.

In the final, Bangladesh will face the winner of the second semi-final between hosts Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The Bangladesh Volleyball Federation has congratulated the players, coaching staff and team officials on reaching the final and expressed hope that the team will maintain its form in the title decider.
