The Bangladesh Butthan Association recently held a seminar at the National Sports Academy in Kathmandu, where 18 combat sports athletes learned the “Secrets of Thunder Kick” from Grand Master Yuree Vajramunee. The seminar showcased Vajramunee’s world record technique, combining sports science principles, Vajrapran exercises, and traditional training to improve leg strength and explosive performance.

The seminar received high praise from Ganesh, Founder and CEO of the National Sports Academy, who lauded Grand Master Vajramunee’s presence and described the event as an “outstanding and enriching session” valuable not only to combat athletes but to any sportsperson aiming to boost agility, speed, and strength.

Participants expressed deep respect and gratitude through traditional Nepali gestures, acknowledging the wisdom shared by the Grand Master.

This seminar signifies a significant milestone in the expansion of Butthan—a Bangladeshi martial art—into Nepal, fostering stronger cultural and sporting bonds between the two nations. It also introduces Nepalese athletes to the philosophy and scientific foundations behind the powerful Thunder Kick technique.

Butthan, meaning “Defense with distinction or awakening,” is a martial art and combat sport originating from Bangladesh, emphasizing self-defense and personal development. Established in 1981, the Bangladesh Butthan Association saw Butthan officially recognized as a national sport by the National Sports Council under the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2013. Recently, UNESCO-ICM acknowledged Butthan on its official platform, recognizing its significance as a distinguished Bangladeshi martial art with global relevance.
