Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman held a bilateral meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Beijing on Wednesday, May 6. The discussions focused on investment, energy cooperation, connectivity, people-to-people contact, increasing bilateral trade, and various regional and international issues. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the Bangladesh-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, the One China policy, and further improving bilateral relations. Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir and Ambassador Md Nazmul Islam were present at the meeting. Wang Yi later hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Bangladeshi delegation.

পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ড. খলিলুর রহমান বুধবার (৬ মে) বেইজিংয়ে চীনের পররাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী ওয়াং ইয়ের সঙ্গে দ্বিপক্ষীয় বৈঠক করেছেন। আলোচনায় বিনিয়োগ, জ্বালানি সহযোগিতা, যোগাযোগ, জনযোগাযোগ এবং দ্বিপক্ষীয় বাণিজ্য বৃদ্ধিসহ আঞ্চলিক ও আন্তর্জাতিক বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে গুরুত্বারোপ করা হয়। উভয় পক্ষ বাংলাদেশ-চীন সর্বাঙ্গীন কৌশলগত সহযোগিতামূলক অংশীদারত্ব, এক চীন নীতি এবং দ্বিপক্ষীয় সম্পর্ক আরও উন্নত করার প্রতিশ্রুতি পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেছে। বৈঠকে উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রীর পররাষ্ট্রবিষয়ক উপদেষ্টা হুমায়ুন কবির এবং রাষ্ট্রদূত মো. নাজমুল ইসলাম। পরে সফররত বাংলাদেশ প্রতিনিধিদলের সম্মানে নৈশভোজের আয়োজন করেন ওয়াং ই।
