Bangladesh clinch U19 Asia Cup title
Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team created history on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium as they clinched the Asia Cup title for the first time, defeating the hosts United Arab Emirates.
Bangladesh beat the UAE by a huge margin of 195 runs in the final of Asia Cup.
Chasing the target of 283 runs, the UAE team were bowled out for just 87 runs. Bangladesh pacers got the ball to talk as the UAE batters struggled all the way. For Bangladesh, Rohanat Doullah Borson and Maruf Mridha captured tree wicktes each. Iqbal Hossain Imon captured two wickets.
Earlier, Bangladesh scored 282 runs for 8 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Opener Ashiqur Rahman Shibli played an excellent innings of 129 runs off 149 balls. Besides, Chowdhury Md Rizwan scored 60 runs whle Ariful Islam made 50 runs.
