Bangladesh crush Netherlands to seal series early

Bangladesh sealed the three-match T20I series with one game to spare after outclassing the Netherlands by nine wickets in the second match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Monday (September 1).


Put in to bat, the visitors collapsed for just 103 runs in 17.3 overs. The hosts chased down the target in style, reaching 104 for 1 in 13.1 overs.


Opener Tanzid Hasan Tamim starred with an unbeaten 54 off 40 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes, while Litton Das finished on 18 not out. Parvez Hossain Emon contributed 21 runs. Tamim sealed the victory with a boundary off Kyle Clyne.


Bangladesh had also won the opening match convincingly, by eight wickets with 39 balls remaining. This latest triumph marks the Tigers’ third consecutive T20I series win, following victories over Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
